Depart Quito and travel west through beautiful cloud forests. The ríos Toachi and Blanco are a fantastic introduction to the rivers of Ecuador. Spend the day in class 2, 3, and 4 whitewater rapids...a thrilling and fun filled day with friends!

Transfer Quito to Cotopaxi, one of the highest active volcanoes in the world. Enjoy a bike ride down its slopes, with views of glaciers above and wind swept vegetation below.

Transfer Cotopaxi to a high Andes ecolodge. Stop via the Zumbahua market to see authentic Ecuadorian handicrafts and peoples. Afternoon playing soccer and games with local school children.

Scenic drive to Quilotoa Lake, a beautiful volcanic crater with emerald waters spanning 2 kilometers. Hike back to ecolodge to best enjoy the stunning beauty.

Horseback riding day through the surreal beauty of the paramo, Ecuador's high altitude ecosystem. Stop and tour an Ecuadorian cheese factory.

Transfer back to Quito to complete the scenic loop. Watch the evening sunset and enjoy our evening program on the Quito gondola, with breathtaking views of the city below and the mountains above.

Students say goodbye to their new friends at Lifeworks. Without fail there is a mix of emotions - there is excitement to return home; there is sadness to leave. Students fly together Quito to Miami with the help of Lifeworks' professional staff and continue on to their respective homes and families!
