Financial Aid
Every year, Lifeworks is able to offer a select number of students partial tuition scholarships. We do this in two primary ways...
Through our partners
The first is by partnering with specific non-profits who are dedicated to providing these types of life-changing experiences for youth. Not all will qualify for assistance through these organizations, yet you should consider contacting those listed below.
| Summer Search is a high-impact program that gives low-income students the opportunities and support they need to transform their lives, achieve their own potential, and create change as role models and everyday leaders. www.summersearch.org | |
| Minds Matter is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to transform the lives of accomplished high school students from low-income families by broadening their dreams. www.mindsmatter.org | |
Through direct application
Students can apply directly to Lifeworks. Please read carefully the information found here and on the Scholarship Application Form for details.
Eligibility: Eligibility is based on a number of factors including financial need, past academic performance, community involvement, and promise of success on the program. Lifeworks reserves the right to allocate financial awards based on both economic factors and/or program priorities/concerns. The financial aid budget is determined by the Lifeworks Directors and is allocated from the organization's operating budget.
Application process: Students may apply to Lifeworks as a regular enrollment or as a scholarship student, but should not apply as both. To be considered for a scholarship, please submit to our office the Scholarship Application Form (below), the Student Reference Form (below), the Parent/Guardian Financial Letter, and the Student Essay. **Do not submit the standard online enrollment form or the deposit** If selected for a scholarship, our office will contact you with details of the offer. At that point, if the scholarship student selects to join the team, a deposit will be required to secure the space on program.
Timeline: Applications are accepted through May 15th. Four times a year, we review all applicants. The review schedule is: February (for 10%-20% scholarships), March (10%-20%), April (10%-30%), and May (all assistance requests). As students come from all over the world, flight and travel costs are not included at any scholarship level, nor spending money and other additional costs associated with traveling abroad (vaccinations, doctor visits, visas, etc.).
Please note that due to the high number of scholarship applications we receive every year, we are only able to contact the applicants that we can offer assistance to.
